In the wake of the international movement for social justice and against neoliberal globalization, the Autonomous Camp is the local expression of a movement that was born on the fringes of the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The Camp is a non-confessional and non-partisan space of convergence for individuals and social groups. It is also an experimental laboratory based on the principles of self-management (autogestion), empowerment, solidarity, respect for the environment and non-discrimination.
